Every large project has two finish lines. One is the date written into the contract. The other is the date the work is actually heading toward. For most of a project’s life the second one is out of sight, and by the time it comes into view the options for doing anything about it have narrowed to the expensive ones.
Schedola exists to close that gap. We are a project-controls consultancy working with owners, developers, contractors, lenders and public agencies on large capital projects. Our work has a single purpose: to make the real finish visible early enough to act on.
Why a new name
Schedola brings together two ideas. The first is the schedule, the one place where a project’s future is modeled in enough detail to be tested. The second is the steady, unhurried control that comes from reading that model correctly and acting on what it shows. We wanted a name that is easy to say in a boardroom and easy to trust on a site.
Our mark is an S drawn as two schedule bars joined by a finish-to-start link, ending in a milestone diamond. It is a small diagram of the job: connect the work in front of you to the finish that matters, and keep the line between them clear.
What we do
We have deliberately kept our offer focused. Five practices, each serving the same outcome:
- Planning & Scheduling: baselines, integrated master schedules, updates and recovery plans built on logic that holds
- Project Controls: cost, earned value, change, forecasting and reporting that tell one consistent story
- Advisory & Assurance: independent schedule reviews, owner’s representation and governance for programs that cannot afford surprises
- Delay & Claims: forensic schedule analysis, time-impact analysis and expert support when the record has to speak for itself
- Digital Delivery: 4D planning, reality capture and digital twins that let teams see a sequence before they build it
We do not resell software. We do not run training courses. We are fluent in the platforms our clients already use, and we recommend tools only when they help. What we sell is judgment, applied to schedules, and the discipline to report what that judgment sees.
How we work
Our method is easiest to describe in three words: clarity, confidence, control. Clarity comes first, because no one can manage what they cannot see. Confidence follows when the picture has been tested and holds up. Control is what becomes possible once both are in place: decisions made early, while they are still cheap.
In practice, that means a handful of habits we do not compromise on. We test every schedule before we rely on it. We measure progress from physical reality rather than reported percentages. We express forecasts as ranges, with the reasons attached. And we report what we see, plainly, even when it is not what anyone hoped to hear.
The most useful sentence a controls team can say is: here is where this is heading, and here is what we can still change.
The people waiting on the finish
Behind every program date there is someone who will never open the schedule. A surgical team waiting for new theatres. A city waiting for a bridge to reopen. A company that has already promised its customers new capacity by a certain quarter. A CFO who needs one straight answer before the board meets on Thursday.
Those people do not need more data. They need to know, early and honestly, whether the date will hold, and what it would take to protect it. That is the question every Schedola engagement is built to answer.
Who we work for
Our clients sit on every side of the table. Owners and developers bring us in to see through to the real status of their programs. Contractors bring us in to build schedules that win work and hold up under scrutiny. Lenders and boards bring us in for an independent view. Counsel brings us in when the question is no longer what will happen, but what did happen and why.
The work differs, but the standard does not. Every analysis we produce should be one the other side could reproduce, and one we would be comfortable defending in any room.
Leadership
Schedola is led by its founder and CEO, Colins Epie, and built around senior practitioners who have planned, controlled and analyzed the kind of work our clients deliver. The people who scope an engagement are the people who do it.
The Lookahead
Alongside the new site we are launching The Lookahead, a short monthly letter on schedule risk, forecasting, delay and digital delivery. It takes its name from the short-interval plan every good site team works from: the next few weeks, seen clearly enough to act on. Each issue covers what we are seeing on programs, what it means for finish dates and the questions worth putting to your own team.
If you are approaching a baseline, a financing milestone, a difficult update or a dispute, and would value a second set of eyes, request a conversation through the website. We will tell you what we see.
