Earned Value Management (EVM)
Earned value systems that join scope, schedule and cost to measure performance objectively and forecast with evidence.

The plain answer to “are we really on track?”
Status meetings run on adjectives: nearly there, broadly on plan, slightly behind. Earned value replaces them with three numbers. What we planned to have done, what we have actually done, and what it cost to do it. Read together, those numbers show performance trends months before a milestone is missed.
Schedola implements EVM that works on real projects. Integrated baselines, objective rules of credit, control accounts with named managers, disciplined variance analysis and estimates at completion built from performance data. For federal and defence-style programs we align with ANSI/EIA-748. For private owners we bring the same rigour with lighter governance and faster reporting.
What we bring to Earned Value Management (EVM)
Senior practitioners, a proven method and the right technology. Every line below is part of the engagement, not an upsell.
Performance measurement baseline
Scope, schedule and budget integrated into one baseline.
INCLUDEDRules of credit
Objective, agreed methods for earning value on each type of work.
INCLUDEDControl accounts
Work, budget and accountability joined under named managers.
INCLUDEDVariance analysis
Root causes of schedule and cost variances identified and acted on.
INCLUDEDEAC forecasting
Estimates at completion grounded in performance trends and remaining risk.
INCLUDEDEVMS alignment
System descriptions and surveillance aligned with ANSI/EIA-748.
INCLUDEDA clear path, milestone by milestone.
A disciplined sequence, so you always know what happens next, who owns it and why it matters.

Technology we work in
Platform-fluent and vendor-independent. We work inside your environment, or help you choose the one that fits. We take no reseller commissions.
What changes when we arrive.
Not more reports. Earlier warnings, firmer dates and decisions your board, lenders and teams can trust.
An honest measure of progress and value for money.
Trends visible while there is still most of the project left to fix them.
Estimates at completion built on evidence, not on the original plan.
What leaders ask us first.
Straight answers from the people who do the work. If your question is not here, ask us directly. A senior practitioner will reply.
What do SPI and CPI tell us?
The Schedule Performance Index compares work completed with work planned. The Cost Performance Index compares the value of work completed with what it actually cost. Below 1.0 means behind or over, and the trend matters more than any single month.
Is EVM only for government work?
No. Government contracts often require it, but private owners and contractors gain the same clarity. We scale the governance to the size and risk of the project.
What is ANSI/EIA-748?
The recognised standard for earned value management systems. It sets out guidelines for organising, planning, measuring, analysing and revising project performance.
Our contractor reports percent complete. Is that earned value?
Not on its own. Earned value needs a baseline, agreed rules of credit and actual cost. We can build those from what you already have, often within a reporting cycle or two.
Progress Measurement
Quantity-based, field-verified progress measurement that turns physical work into data owners and lenders can trust.
Change Management
Change control that captures, assesses, prices and records every change to scope, time and cost, promptly and fairly.
Forecasting
Risk-informed schedule and cost forecasts that give executives a realistic finish date and final cost, with the confidence stated.
