Why it mattered

Food and beverage plants live by market windows: peak season, retail launches, distribution contracts. Miss the window and the new capacity waits a year to earn its keep.

The challenge

A food manufacturer added a rack-supported automated storage and retrieval building, where the racking itself carries the roof and walls.

Racking, cladding and automation vendors all sat on the critical path, and the connection to the live plant left no room for a second attempt.

How we kept it on course

Our approach, phase by phase.

The same disciplined sequence we bring to every engagement, shaped around what this project needed most.

PHASE 01PHASE 02PHASE 03PHASE 04
PHASE 01Protect production

Shutdowns placed in low-demand periods and planned to the hour with the plant team.

PHASE 02Put equipment on the path

Process equipment tracked from factory slot to setting on its foundation.

PHASE 03Join the vendors up

Line vendors, automation integrators and building trades held on one critical path.

PHASE 04Plan trials as real work

Line trials, food-safety validation and ramp-up scheduled with the same care as construction.

What changed

The difference we made

Measured the only way that matters: did the project land where we said it would.

Result 01Three vendors, one path

Rack, automation and building schedules were merged into a single critical path.

Result 02One-weekend tie-in

The connection to existing production was made in a single planned weekend.

Result 03Throughput on schedule

The system reached its target pallet rate on the planned date.
