Skilled Trades & Electrical Apprenticeship Center
A building where future electricians learn their trade, ready for the first apprentices on their first morning.
LocationOrlando, FLSchools and universities run on dates that do not move: the first day of term, the start of semester, the first home game. The schedule has to be built backwards from those days, because students and families have already planned around them.
A state college and its industry partners funded a dedicated electrical apprenticeship center. The grant required the first cohort to start in a named semester.
Midway through, switchgear and lighting lead times doubled, and the original opening date began to look like a guess.
The whole job, on one line.
Start to finish, as the schedule tells it. For work still in progress, the bar moves with today's date.
Our approach, phase by phase.
The same disciplined sequence we bring to every engagement, shaped around what this project needed most.

The difference we made
Measured the only way that matters: did the project land where we said it would.
Apprentices began training in the committed semester, keeping the grant intact.
Substitute equipment was approved with its schedule effect modeled before each decision.
The college now uses the project schedule as a case study in its construction management courses.
What we brought to it
Disciplined periodic updates that record real progress, reveal real trends and keep the schedule a working tool rather than a filed document.
04.02Time Impact Analysis (TIA)Prospective and contemporaneous time impact analyses that model a specific event in the current schedule and show its effect on completion and key milestones.
01.16Look-Ahead PlanningRolling look-ahead plans that turn the master schedule into ready, resourced, constraint-free work for the field.
